This winter is proving to be a rough one, between various colds, RSV, flu, and Covid going around. Older adults are especially vulnerable to respiratory illnesses.

Monitor your health! A reminder to participants: please do not come to the Center if you have symptoms of respiratory illness. This includes any of these symptoms: sore throat, runny nose, cough, fever, or fatigue. If you have been exposed to Covid-19, wear a mask until you’ve tested negative.

Protect yourself! Vaccinations remain the best way to prevent serious illness from Covid and the flu. The new, bivalent covid shot is effective with current variants in our community. If you need help finding a vaccine, give us a call or consult with your doctor. Masking while in crowded places is also recommended for older adults.

COVID Tests Available! Bugbee Senior Center has a stock of free Covid tests if you would like to keep some at home, just in case you are not feeling well. Please ask at the front desk for a kit.

Wishing you all a warm, happy, HEALTHY, and joyous new year!
