Meals on Wheels are available for homebound folks in the towns of Hartford, North Hartland, Norwich, and Thetford, Vermont.
Nutritious, hot meals are delivered by volunteers Monday to Friday, with frozen meals offered for weekends, holidays, or other days the Center’s kitchen is closed.
The suggested donation is only $6.00 per meal.
Our menu rotates monthly and is geared around typical, New England comfort food with occasional new items for variety. We can offer some alterations to accommodate food allergies or medical conditions.

People who are eligible for Meals on Wheels in Vermont are individuals 60 years of age or over who are unable to leave home without considerable difficulty or assistance, and experience a physical or mental condition making them unable to obtain food or prepare meals.
Also eligible is the spouse, regardless of age, of an eligible participant, along with people under 60 years of age with a disability who live with an eligible participant.
All participants are invited to donate towards the cost of the meal. We encourage all meal recipients to contribute whatever they can afford towards the suggested donation ($6 per meal). We will not turn anyone away who cannot afford to make a contribution. You can support our Meals on Wheels program to help those in need by donating.
Note: Meals on Wheels is also available for Vermonters under age 60 with chronic conditions or disabilities through the Vermont Center for Independent Living (VCIL). Learn more and enroll here.
