Senior Learning Network is back!

After this summer’s hiatus, Senior Learning Network is back for a full calendar of weekly virtual tours and presentations from sites all around the country!

This fall starts with “Stories from Manhattan Project National Historic Site,” Tuesday 9/5 at 2pm. This top-secret US military project ushered in the nuclear age. Join a park ranger to hear the stories of the 130,000 scientists, engineers, construction workers, and everyday Americans who worked across these sites.

Then, take a virtual tour of the Bush Family Home, which boasts 2 presidents, 2 governors, and a first lady! Off to the North Carolina Maritime Museum to learn about the Cape Lookout Lighthouse in Beaufort, SC. September is rounded out by a trip to see the art collection at the Longfellow House at Washington’s Headquarters National Historic Site.

All sessions start at 2:00 pm, and are live, interactive presentations via Zoom. We can accommodate groups watching together at the Bugbee library, or you can sign up for a limited number of home-viewing virtual seats. Call 802-295-9068 or email info@bugbeecenter.org to sign up!
