On Tuesday, June 6 from 3-5pm, the Town of Hartford is holding a public meeting with Studio Nexus architects in the main dining room to kick off the Bugbee architectural feasibility study. YOU are invited to join! The meeting is open to the public so even if you are a Bugbee member from another town, they still want to hear from you.
The Town commissioned the study to explore the potential for renovation of the T.D. Bugbee Building and grounds. The building was opened to the public in 1980 as a purpose-built senior center, operated by White River Council on Aging, which up to that point did not have a permanent home. It has served thousands of residents and families as a senior center for over four decades!
During that time the needs of the senior community have changed, and the size of the older population has grown. This is your chance to have a say in the future of the facility and its opportunities to serve generations of future seniors! Let the architects know what you think are the building’s challenges and potential, and what Bugbee means to you and your loved ones. Any and all are welcome to participate.
