Farmers Market

Nutrition Program

Love the farmers market vibe, but struggle to get there?

Wish your grocery budget could stretch a little further?

Love beautiful, fresh, locally grown produce?

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program makes fresh fruits and vegetables available to income eligible Vermonters 60 and over. Participants are provided with a one-time $48 coupon book to purchase locally-grown, healthy, fresh fruits and vegetables from July 1st through October 31st.

It's not just about the food.

Vermont’s Farmers Markets are places for the community to gather. This program will help you keep connected with friends and neighbors. Homebound participants or those without vehicles are encouraged to apply – we can help coordinate transportation to and from the markets!

How to apply

The application is only one page and it’s very easy! Contact Bugbee’s Outreach Associate, Mona to get started. The application ensures that you meet age, residency, and income requirements necessary to participate in the program. Applications can be completed in person, electronically, or we can mail one to you. Mona can also help coordinate transportation for you to get to and from the market.
