Hi folks! It’s been quite the start to 2022. Does it feel colder than usual or am I just getting older?

So, we are still waiting for the Omicron to pass. There is a lot of uncertainty over when we’ll be able to resume the normal schedule. This might happen in February before the next Bulletin goes out. I would encourage you to sign up for email bulletins, since we can send updates to you right away. But if you don’t do email, we’ll try to find other ways to let you know, and please feel free to call us for updates. We’re always happy to hear from you!

One quick note: we are working on getting Covid rapid test kits from the Vermont Health Department. There was a problem with distribution so we haven’t gotten any yet, but as soon as we do, these free tests will be available to you. You can also order some test kits for free at covidtests.gov (call us if you don’t have a computer and we can help). And if all else fails, we’re trying to keep a small stock of test kits here, so if you’ve got any worry about a potential infection or close contact with someone, let us know and we’ll do our best to help out.

In the meantime, how have you been spending your time this winter? Are you the kind of person who enjoys a good book and a cup of tea. Are your joints still springy enough to hit the slopes? Or maybe you’ll be joining us this month for some virtual activities from home, and a few lunches at the Center. I’m always curious to learn how different people either cope with or enjoy New England winters. Do share any tips and tricks!

Thank you all for your patience and good spirits. Stay warm and cozy!
