Rides To Medical Appointments

We coordinate rides to local medical and dental appointments. Rides are subject to volunteer availability, so the more notice you can give us, the easier it will be to match you with a ride! To use our transportation resources, appointments should be scheduled no earlier than 10:00 AM with a return no later than 3:00 PM. Suggested donation is $5.00 depending on mileage.

Please give us at least 24 hours notice.

Note: For accessible vehicle transportation, call Tri-Valley Transit to use Dial-A-Ride, 802-728-3773. You can also apply for Access A/T, Advance Transit’s accessible paratransit service.

We ask riders to make a donation, if they can. Suggested donation amounts:

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, $5.00 suggested donation
Alice Peck Day Hospital, $5.00 suggested donation
VA Medical Center, $2.00 suggested donation
White River Family Practice, $2.00 suggested donation
Mount Ascutney Hospital, $10.00 suggested donation

If you are not a rider, but would like to support the transportation program at Bugbee, consider making a donation today. Only $20.00 covers four round trips to DHMC for a senior who may have few other options.

Volunteer Drivers Wanted

If you would be willing to drive seniors to appointments on occasion, we’d love to add you to our pool of volunteer drivers. Volunteers are under no obligations, but if the timing of a request works for you, you’re making a real difference in someone’s life.
